IMAMOM | Calicut

IMAMOM is a careful blend of nurturing and art. From educating the parents on food diet to a complete personal care room.
The conscious planning of each space depending on the hierarchy was a prominent factor. Starting off from zoning the public to private to semi private regions where each child was made to feel safe. The public space includes seating area for both parents and children. The careful choice of color pallets creates a soothing effect to both parties. Glarefree, but eminent lighting was considered to light up the space. Seamless design carried throughout the space gives an overall curious and fun filled interaction while keeping it safe for kids to move around. The kitchenette lies in the semi-public zone partially open to the public where the live cooking takes place. Both the feeding room and diaper station lies in the private sector as this requires complete privacy and seclusion from the rest. Feeding room is designed specifically for breast feeding mothers who requires some alone time with their small ones among all the hassle from the shopping. The diaper room is kept close to the feeding room with ample space to change the diaper using kid safe products also keeping the space minimal and aesthetic to self. Indirect and warm tones of lighting used in these areas creates a protective and caring mood to both the mother and the loved ones. The chic design for this project gives away classy yet friendly outlook to the space.
